두산, 삼성 잡고 7위 도약…박준순, 8회 만루 싹쓸이 결승타

The Doosan Bears claimed victory over the Samsung Lions in their midweek three-game series, boosting their league standing. On April 30th at Jamsil Stadium, Doosan secured an 8-5 win in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League home match.

Standings Update
With this result, Doosan improved to 12 wins, 1 draw, and 15 losses, climbing to 7th place ahead of the Hanwha Eagles who lost to SSG that day. Samsung dropped their second consecutive game, holding at 13-13-1 with a .500 winning percentage in 4th position.

Early Advantage to Samsung
The Lions took an early lead in the top of the 2nd inning through Kim Jae-sang’s RBI hit. However, Doosan completely reversed momentum in the bottom of the 3rd with an explosive rally.

Jung Soo-bin opened with a triple, followed by Park Chan-ho’s game-tying hit and Das Cameron’s go-ahead double. The Bears combined Park Jun-soon’s surprise bunt single, Yang Eui-ji’s RBI, a wild pitch from Samsung starter Choi Won-tae, and Ahn Jae-seok’s double to pile up 5 runs in the inning.

Samsung Battles Back
The Lions didn’t fold easily. Yang Woo-hyun delivered an RBI in the 4th, Kim Hun-gon added a sacrifice fly in the 5th, and they tied the game 5-5 in the 7th through Kim Do-hwan’s RBI combined with an opponent’s wild pitch.

The Decisive 8th Inning
With two outs and bases loaded in the bottom of the 8th, Park Jun-soon launched a double over the center fielder’s head against reliever Kim Jae-yoon. All three runners scored, giving Doosan an 8-5 cushion. Samsung’s bench brought in closer Kim Jae-yoon after Kim Tae-hoon threw a first-pitch ball, but the move failed to prevent the damage.

NC Defeats KIA in Changwon
The NC Dinos defeated the KIA Tigers 7-2 behind strong performances from their foreign players. NC moved to 13-14, tying KIA (13-1-14) for 5th place.

Kim Joo-won hit a solo home run in the 1st inning. In the 5th, Park Min-woo’s RBI and Matt Davidson’s two-run hit extended the lead to 4-0. Though KIA’s Na Sung-bum hit a two-run homer in the 6th, NC added three insurance runs in the 8th through Davidson’s double and timely hits from Han Seok-hyun and Ahn Jung-yeol.

NC starter Curtis Taylor earned his second win with 6 innings of 2-run ball. Davidson went 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs batting cleanup. KIA starter Adam Oller, who entered the day leading in ERA and wins, suffered his first loss after allowing 4 runs in 5 innings.

SSG Routs Hanwha in Daejeon
SSG demolished the Hanwha Eagles 14-3 in Daejeon. The Landers maintained their 2nd place tie at 17-10, while Hanwha fell to 8th at 11-16.

Hanwha starter Ryu Hyun-jin dominated early, retiring the first 15 SSG batters perfectly through 5 innings. But the 6th inning proved disastrous. SSG broke through with Choi Ji-hoon’s bunt single and Oh Tae-gon’s double, then unleashed a barrage: Jo Hyeong-woo’s RBI, Park Sung-han’s timely hit, Guillermo Heredia’s two-run single, and Choi Ji-hoon’s two-run single—6 runs total in the frame.

Though Hanwha scored first in the 2nd on Choi Jae-hoon’s RBI, they couldn’t recover after Ryu’s meltdown. SSG added a run in the 7th via Heredia’s sacrifice fly, then exploded for 5 more in the 8th including Choi Jeong’s three-run homer to complete the rout.

SSG starter Kim Geon-woo notched his 4th win with 5⅔ innings of 1-run ball. Heredia collected 3 RBIs while Choi Ji-hoon contributed multiple hits and 2 RBIs. Ryu Hyun-jin absorbed his second loss, charged with 6 runs (4 earned) over 5⅔ innings.
