민희진, 4차 기자회견 예고…이번엔 ‘직접’ 나선다

Min Hee-jin, currently serving as CEO of OK Records and formerly heading ADOR, plans to personally address the media in her upcoming press briefing. This marks her second public appearance with journalists this year, and represents the fourth such event since the HYBE-Min Hee-jin dispute first emerged in late April of last year.

OK Records announced that Min will directly discuss the first-instance court ruling and outline her future plans. The briefing is scheduled to take place at a location in Seoul’s Jongno district.

Court Ruling Background

Earlier this year, Seoul Central District Court ruled in Min’s favor regarding her lawsuit against HYBE for stock purchase payment. The court ordered HYBE to pay Min approximately 25.5 billion won. Additionally, two former ADOR executives who exercised their put options alongside Min were awarded 1.7 billion and 1.4 billion won respectively.

The same court rejected HYBE’s separate lawsuit seeking confirmation of shareholder agreement termination. This double ruling represented a significant legal victory for Min.

HYBE’s Appeal and Enforcement Suspension

Following the unfavorable verdict, HYBE filed an appeal and requested a stay of enforcement on the 25.5 billion won payment until the appeals court reaches its conclusion. The court granted this request, meaning HYBE must provide substantial collateral (cash deposit) to the court equivalent to the first-instance judgment amount.

Min had initiated debt seizure and collection procedures shortly after winning the case, but these enforcement actions are now paused pending the appeal outcome.

Previous Press Conference Context

Min’s last media briefing took place in late January, though she did not attend personally. Her legal representative from Jiam Law Firm appeared alone to address allegations of “tampering” related to NewJeans members—accusations that Min’s side disputed by alleging that certain parties attempted to manipulate theme stocks related to the HYBE conflict.

The attorney explained Min’s absence at that time by citing emotional distress after learning disturbing information regarding NewJeans members’ families.

What to Expect

Significant attention is focused on whether Min will address the ongoing 43 billion won lawsuit filed by ADOR against former NewJeans member Danielle, her mother, and Min herself for breach of contract and damages. The tampering allegations remain central to this legal dispute.

Unlike the previous briefing, Min is expected to take the stage personally this time, marking a more direct approach to communicating her position on these complex legal and business matters.
