Channel S & E Channel’s Reality Show Launches Fresh Season in Sri Lanka
The travel variety program kicked off its latest chapter with five cast members embarking on an adventure across the island nation. The group engaged in signature penalty games, wildlife encounters, and local cuisine sampling while delivering their trademark comedic chemistry.
Choosing the Destination
The ensemble—comprising Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-ho, Jang Dong-min, Yoo Se-yoon, and Hong In-gyu—set their sights on exploring uncharted territory for the new season. Hong In-gyu suggested the South Asian destination, describing it as “a place where you can experience an African-like atmosphere.” The entire team agreed, finalizing their travel plans.
Arrival Antics & Immigration Mix-Up
Upon landing at Colombo Airport, the crew encountered a humorous incident during customs. Jang Dong-min recounted nearly being mistaken for a North Korean national at passport control, while Kim Jun-ho lightened the mood with his characteristic jokes, drawing laughter from the group.
New Season, New Penalty Records
Before diving into activities, the members decided to reset their penalty tally for the fresh season. They established a playful competition: the first person to accumulate 100 penalties would earn a group dinner sponsored by the others. This promise sparked friendly rivalry among the cast.
Market Food Tour
The team visited Aluthkade Market, a bustling night bazaar in Colombo. They sampled authentic Sri Lankan dishes including kottu (a stir-fried flatbread dish), barbecue, and biryani, immersing themselves in the local culinary scene.
After their meal, the first penalty game commenced—a spoon-drawing challenge with transportation and dining costs on the line. Kim Jun-ho attempted to secretly swap his spoon but was caught red-handed by Jang Dong-min, becoming the season’s inaugural penalty recipient.
Hotel Hijinks
At their lodging—a four-star hotel arranged by Kim Jun-ho—the group expressed satisfaction before launching into another challenge. They wagered the accommodation fee on a tea-bag tossing game. Kim Dae-hee lost, securing the second penalty of the trip.
Journey to Bentota
The following morning, the cast headed south to the coastal resort town of Bentota in search of wildlife. During the standing-room train ride, Kim Jun-ho wandered into a premium cabin out of curiosity, only to be promptly escorted back by staff—a moment that drew giggles from his companions.
While aboard, they played a timed photography game to determine the next penalty holder. Ironically, Yoo Se-yoon—who proposed the game—scored lowest and had to cover the train fare. The others remarked that “the tradition of the suggester getting penalized continues,” erupting in laughter.
Mangrove Forest Adventure
Upon reaching Bentota, the crew embarked on a boat tour through the mangrove wetlands. Before boarding, another game took place—and once again, Yoo Se-yoon lost, marking the season’s first double penalty. As punishment, his teeth were painted black. Despite the embarrassing makeup, he embraced the absurdity with exaggerated expressions and antics, turning the scene into a comedy showcase.
During the river cruise, the group spotted bats, water monitor lizards, and monkeys among the dense foliage. Though they hoped to encounter crocodiles, none appeared. Nonetheless, the members savored the lush natural scenery and continued their journey with high spirits.
The wild exploration saga continues in the next episode, airing at 9 PM on the 13th.
