The legendary K-pop group BIGBANG has announced they will kick off a global concert tour this coming August.
On April 19th (local time), the group performed at the Outdoor Theater stage during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival held in Indio, California. This marked their second appearance at the festival, following their initial performance on April 12th.
During the closing moments of their set, G-Dragon made an exciting announcement to the audience. Speaking in English, he revealed: “BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary world tour is scheduled to begin in August.” The announcement sparked enthusiastic cheers from fans in attendance.
While specific tour dates and venue locations were not disclosed, the timing appears significant. Since the group debuted in August 2006, launching their world tour in August would meaningfully commemorate their 20-year milestone.
BIGBANG has released numerous iconic hits throughout their career, including “Bang Bang Bang,” “Fantastic Baby,” “Loser,” and “Lies” — songs that defined their era and left a lasting impact on the music industry.
