Special Ceremonial Events Planned for Weekend Baseball Series

The LG Twins have announced a series of victory-themed ceremonial first pitch activities for their upcoming three-game weekend series against the NC Dinos at Jamsil Baseball Stadium.

Third Day: (G)I-DLE Leader Takes the Mound

The final match will feature Soyeon, who leads the popular group (G)I-DLE. Beyond her performance work, she has produced numerous chart-topping songs including “Queencard,” “TOMBOY,” and “I Don’t Like Being Hurt.” Currently on the group’s fourth world tour connecting with international audiences, she has a comeback scheduled for July.

She expressed her excitement, stating: “I’m genuinely thrilled to reunite with the passionate players and supporters of the LG Twins. I’ll put my full effort into this pitch, filling it with winning energy. This time, I hope to become a new lucky charm by cheering enthusiastically alongside the fans.”

Opening Day: Versatile Actress Returns

Kicking off the series, actress Jung Ji-so will deliver the ceremonial first pitch. Known for her multifaceted talents across acting, singing, and dancing in both television and film, she previously threw a pitch during a game against Doosan Bears. She also appeared as the national anthem singer during a playoff match against the Samsung Lions, where the team secured a victory—earning her a reputation as a good luck charm.

Reflecting on her return, she commented: “It’s an honor to stand on the mound once again for the LG Twins. I’ll be cheering with all my heart for their victory. I hope all the players stay injury-free and play an excellent game. Go LG Twins!”

Second Day: Young Fans Take Center Stage

The middle game will spotlight young supporters through a special drawing competition held that morning on the Jamsil Baseball Stadium field. One participant will be randomly selected on-site to throw both the ceremonial first pitch and take the ceremonial first at-bat.

This family drawing event, which began back in 2017, will welcome 180 young participants this year. As this marks the final such event at the current Jamsil venue, children will create artwork themed around “The Last Jamsil Stadium,” capturing their memories and dreams shared with the LG Twins on the field.
