Kim Kwang-jin, a devoted supporter of the Kiwoom Heroes who proudly calls himself a “Kiwoom Guardian,” will take the mound at Gocheok Sky Dome for a ceremonial first pitch. The musician and composer is set to perform this honor during an upcoming game.
The team announced that Kim will throw the ceremonial pitch at the matchup against the Doosan Bears scheduled for 6:30 PM on May 1st at Gocheek Sky Dome. In addition to his pitching duties, he will also perform the national anthem before the game.
Kim launched his career as a composer in 1991 and later became part of the beloved group “The Classic,” formed in 1994. The band created numerous emotional hits including “Magic Castle,” “Tokyo Girl,” and “Letter,” which touched the hearts of countless fans with their sentimental melodies.
Expressing his excitement, Kim shared: “I feel incredibly honored to throw the ceremonial first pitch for the Kiwoom Heroes. Although the team faced challenging seasons over the past three years, I anticipate this year will bring extraordinary moments and touching performances.
