The group drops their debut single album “Backtalk” along with its music video, marking their official return to the stage. This release represents more than just new music—it signals a complete restart for the group as they move forward with their updated formation.
Since forming through the survival competition Boys Planet over two years ago, the members have built a dedicated following by exploring various musical styles. Now, the reconfigured team—Keita, Park Hanbin, Lee Jeonghyeon, Moon Junghyeon, and Park Jihu—is ready to unveil their evolved identity.
A Striking Musical Shift
The lead track “Backtalk” breaks away from the group’s previous image with aggressive hip-hop elements. The song blends digicore influences with distorted 808 bass and trap rhythms, creating a distinctive sonic texture that expands their artistic range.
The album’s second track, “STAY,” combines hyperpop and electroclash components while delivering an encouraging message about mutual trust and moving forward together.
