Cortis Reveals Self-Produced MV Behind ‘REDRED,’ Showcases Creative Identity with Member-Made Vision

The group Cortis has revealed behind-the-scenes details about filming their self-produced music video.

Cortis (consisting of Martin, James, Juhoon, Sunghyun, and Gunho) held a showcase event on the 20th at 2 PM at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, celebrating the release of “REDRED”, the title track from their second mini album GREENGREEN.

During the event, the group shared that before shooting the official music video for “REDRED,” the members created their own version of the video themselves.

Gunho explained: “Most of the overall composition and feel from our self-made video was actually incorporated into the official music video production.”

Juhoon added: “That’s why there were many improvised scenes. We followed the storyboard for the first shot, but after that, we filmed the music video with ad-libs.”

Reflecting on the self-production shoot, Sunghyun recalled: “We filmed at an old-style restaurant. Gunho and Martin wore the owner’s aprons during the shoot, and passersby kept wondering what we were filming. So we just told them it was a university project assignment—that’s what I remember.”

About “REDRED”:
• The song uses “GREEN” as a metaphor for the direction the team pursues
“RED” represents what they avoid
• All members participated in writing and composing
• The lyrics convey their determination to cross boundaries in front of them, regardless of others’ disapproval

The track was released at 6 PM on the same day.
