Tottenham Hotspur has made the decision to part ways with their manager. The club’s partnership with Thomas Frank has concluded after approximately seven months.
British broadcaster BBC reported on the 11th that Tottenham dismissed Thomas Frank from his managerial position. This separation occurred roughly seven months following his appointment on July 1st.
Performance results drove the dismissal decision. Frank’s Champions League campaign showed promise—the team secured fourth place in the league phase, finishing behind Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool, earning direct qualification to the Round of 16. This exceeded expectations.
However, domestic league performance proved problematic. Through 26 matches, the squad managed only 6 victories, 8 draws, and suffered 11 defeats, accumulating 29 points and sitting in 16th position. The gap to the 18th-place relegation zone (occupied by West Ham) is merely two positions and 5 points.
Last season saw a similar managerial change due to league struggles. Previous manager Ange Postecoglou delivered Europa League silverware but finished 17th domestically—just one spot above relegation. The club appears determined to avoid repeating this pattern.
Under Frank’s tenure, Tottenham played 38 total matches, recording 13 wins, 10 draws, and 15 losses, scoring 62 goals while conceding 54. League statistics paint a bleaker picture: 36 goals scored versus 37 conceded.
Recent form sealed Frank’s fate. The team hasn’t secured a league victory since late December 2025, going winless in their last 8 league fixtures.
